What a day huh..
Today started off okay until i call my gf and hear her crying. Argument with mom.. how typical on a Friday morning. Not even a breathing room.. i wouln't blame anyone for wanting to move and go somewhere far far away under those circumstances.
Then off to a Banquet in Santa Clara only to be humiliated by Mexican Americans who think they are putting kids out of violence and gangs by giving them scholarships to private high schools.. how silly are they? All the winners of the scholarship were girls whom look to have absolutely no ties to gangs that live in decent neighborhoods. There were ppl patting eachother on the back that donated to the cause saying how wonderful the program is.. what a bunch of BS? Just to get press and something to have on paper.
If your going to try and help kids out of gangs and under-privileged homes, go for the real troublemakers that are in juvy etc.. not ppl who don't really need it. I was expecting to see sum "ese's" with shaved heads and tatoos whom have changed their lives by studying hard to receive the scholarship.. but this is reality.
The kicker was the fact that they made a professional pianist play in front of a crowd on a crap piano during a pre-banquet ceremony. Couldn't even hear the piano, and nobody was paying attention.. no class.. Im not trying to be racist.. this is just how it was at this banquet. Anyways it was horrid and we left asap. A big F U to my gf's boss who insisted this was a good opportunity to play the piano.. w/o even knowing the details of the event.
In order to cheer her up, we went to a chicken house only to see someone we didn't need to see.. how do i put this in a nice way.. the last thing we need is ppl talking about us in the congregation, any attention devoted to us is bad atm. So we escape and move on to a different location while i call this person and tell' em to not disclose anything about us to others. I just hope the secret will be kept. BLAAHHH!~~~ the day couldn't get any worse.
Went to point and had a nice dinner though.. evening ended on a good note.
