For the past year i've been using Froyo on my Android device because at that time Gingerbread didn't have root access. Although it was available amost 9 months ago, i was too lazy and never got around to SBF'ing my phone. However, in the recent weeks i noticed a significant drop in my battery life and wanted something new for the phone.
A few hours of research and voila, i am now rooted with .605 gingerbread running Vortex RC rom. First impression is that the phone seems a little faster, and the battery life is more steady. Before my phone would hit 30% battery and then drop dead in less than an hour, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
