Ktown first time in 4 years
Not much has changed in Ktown in the past 4 years. Same o Same o. Went to Honey Pig for dinner.. BOMB food. If you haven't been - go Yelp it and check it out. Went to a nice Wine bar and had coffee and sweet potato cake (yum!).
Tonight Pae and I went back to the golf range to hit a few balls. Got us gloves which helped prevent getting blisters on our thumbs. Chill weekend.
Next week we will have to hit the beach.

True Love?
Is there such a thing as true love? Or is it just lust and companionship? After much alcohol consumption i came to realize that women in their early 20's generally look for true love - but near their 30's they'd rather have stability.
I guess that doesn't make much sense - kinda hard to put into words. I honestly don't think most women look for love when they are around their 30's - and rather look for men who they feel would give them the most security in life and make everyone happy. Hence the wise words of "good guys finish last". The guys that don't have much to offer other than money. You know.. the geeks that make $$$ who end up with a really hot girl. Does the girl really love him? Some could argue that they do.. but I respectively would argue the topic.
Some girls i talk to agree with me, they straight up say, "i'd rather have a man that can support/provide my financial needs when i'm ready to wed..." This brings up a huge question.. how the hell do you fake it? The rest of your life is a total lie. You're not really in love, but you are stuck with that person for the rest of your life (unless divorce is an option). Isn't there more to love than the modernized meaning of the word?
Once in a blue moon, i do see two people whom are madly in love that get married and live happily ever after. This is so rare though. The women in particular that i stereotype in this blog are Korean women. Not to say other ethnic women aren't shallow, but i think Korean women are really high on the shallow-meter. This is a really good thing in some ways for Korean men.. who have lots of money. Just watch out.. the woman ur about to get married to - probably was a freak (unless that doesn't bother you).
I know soooo many Korean girls that were total freaks 10 years ago. Now they are married to a guy they would have never noticed at a club (nor given them their phone #). This world we live in.. is all about money. Sure.. money can't buy happiness.. but guess what - it will bring you 100x more chances at happiness than the douche that has no money.
Love is for fools. Live for your own happiness and make sure you get a prenuptial agreement. If going out with a girl that only likes you cuz you buy her nice things makes you happy.. do it. Just don't be an idiot and believe her when she utters the words, "i love you". I love you, is code word for, "i want you to buy me the new Gucci bag that came out".

24 Fitness
So, i got a 24 Fitness membership yesterday. Can't really haggle with those guys anymore. They say, this is the promotion we have, and the only promotion we offer (take it or leave it). Kinda brutal from the old days when you could bring the price down. Currently the promotion is no yearly contract. Just $30 month to month.
The plan is to work out everyday while i'm out of a job. Today Pae and I ran a mile, lifted weights, swam, and did some steam room action. It was a satisfying work out, and my body is thanking me right now.
I also went to the DMV today. Waited 2 hours - only to find out it took 5 minutes to do the paperwork, fingerprinting, and picture taken. Next time, it's either going to be an appointment or go to Westminster DMV. I got my license renewed and changed my address/name.
Next i went over to Sports Authority and bought some work out clothes (Body Armor), Nike basketball shoes, swimming goggles, and a backpack.
Things are progressively getting settled down. Life is looking on the upside.

Chatroulette.. Why?
So, after watching the last South Park episode, i decided to check out Chatroulette (http://www.chatroulette.com) and what it was all about. The depiction from South Park was pretty damn accurate. It's a bunch of guys wacking off. There's about 99 guys to every 1 girl in that website.
Also 98 of those 99 guys are disturbed. Save yourself the trouble and avoid that site.

Lexus GS 430! 0-60 in 5.3 sec.
Got a car today. I'm finally mobile again. Now i can go do errands while Pae is at work. Got so many things to do.. Big thanks to Pae for taking the day off to give me a ride to North Hollywood. For some reason there was massive traffic on the i-5 North bound and it took us 2 hours to get there.
List of cars i drove since getting a license.
1. 1989 Mazda pickup truck
2. 1995 Toyota Previa
3. 1997 Honda Accord DX
4. 2000 Honda Prelude
5. 2001 Lexus GS 430
This is my first silver car, and so far loving it. The engine is silky smooth and the tranny is like butter. The car drives solid, and i will soon have to take it to a mechanic to see what kind of major tune ups it needs. Likely:
1. Spark plugs
2. Timing belt
3. Water pump
There are also a few problems. Missing a foglight, front bumper needs to be repainted, interior wood panels need to be taken out, and the door locks are acting funny. Tomorrow Pae and I will head over to Autozone and pick up cleaning products and some other things to clean the car and fix up a few things. I'll post pics once i finish wash/polish/wash/clay/wash/wax.

Old times...
Sometimes you need to vent, and sometimes you just need company to chill with. I think both were accomplished tonight. Pae and I went to Gol Mok Gil in Buena Park. Pretty new bar that opened up - we had Makuli, Soju and some Gyoza. Good times.
Kinda reminded me of the good ol' days back in 2002 when we used to party every Thurs - Sat. Are we too old to do it now?
Thinking about going to Ktown and chillin sometime in the near future. Anybody wanna come?

Turmoil. Life With Out a Car
What you never realize while living in California is that you take your car for granted. Sure, it sucks sitting in traffic and having to deal with idiot drivers. However, have you thought about life with out a car? Well.. i am living that life right now, and it sucks. You pretty much can't do anything. Public transportation here in Los Angeles is a joke compared to NY.
Living here for the past week made me realize how valuable a car is here. There is no substitute when you need to do personal errands and can't do it because you have no transportation.
Trying to buy a car is a total different story. It's like trying to tie a knot with out using your hands. Dealerships that close at 5pm.. and friends that don't get off work till 5pm.. how the hell are you supposed to buy a used car? The dealership i'm trying to go to also don't open on Sat. WTF!
Lastly, what's with all these ppl listing their cars for WWWAAAYYY over the Kelly Blue Book's suggested price? That's just silly. Not many cars out for sale .. so there isn't a whole lot to choose from. I didn't think buying a car was gonna be this much hassle.
