Oh yeah.. i forgot to mention on my last blog.. Imus got fired by CBS for calling the girls of a basketball team "nappy hair ho's".. it's a racist remark.. but is it THAT bad to get him fired? Why didn't Rosie get fired for saying "ching chong ching chong"? That's racist. I don't think Ho is racist.. everybody uses that word.. this girl is a ho, that guy is a ho.. that's not racist, it's more of a sexist term.
And nappy? Ok that term is used cuz black ppl have nappy hair.. the word has been pretty much discontinued here in American culture - yet is that such a racist remark to get someone fired over? Someone who's been doing radio for 30 years? What a really sad way to go.. nappy certainly has a degree in how racist it is.. if Imus said, "those f'ing niggers that probably live in the ghetto crack house.." now that's something you should get fired over.. but nappy ho's.. that is something you probably hear in a rap song and not think twice about it being racist.
I think black ppl need to relax. There was another guy talking about Jackie Robinson and how he had an impact on African Americans in sports. Ok.. that's cool. But he started talking about sports that didn't have enough black players, like Hockey and Golf.. WTF. Just cuz your black means you should have the right to join any sport you want? Like, 50% white 50% black? F u c k that. If players really are being discriminated and only a certain race is allowed to play a sport, then there is a problem.. but i don't see much of that happening today. It's all fair play.. if your good a team will sign you and give u money.. why would they pay someone who's inferior for the same money?
If this trully is the case, let's stop giving the attention to black ppl.. they had their run for 50 years, let's turn our attention to Asian ppl in sports. Let there be sum kind of movement to allow more Asian basketball players, football players, etc. to play here in the US.
The NBA is predominantly black.. i don't see black ppl fighting to get more white ppl playing..
THIS WHOLE WORLD IS ABOUT ME, ME, ME. MEEEE!!! Or us if your referring to your own race that benefits YOU. If more people started caring about each other, the world would be such a better place to live.
