Movie Review: Unknown + Buried

Man.. Liam Neeson is such a badass! I love this guy. I first loved his acting in the movie "Taken", and now he did a pretty good job in "Unknown". The synopsis of the movie is about a scientist that goes into a comma after a car accident. When he wakes up, his life is turns upside down. Nobody knows who he is, or who he claims to be.

I would have preferred if his character had more action sequences like it did in "Taken", but even so i enjoyed the movie.

Rating: 7.9/10

I also watched "Buried". It's about a guy stuck inside a coffin. Someone recommended this video, and i was interested in how they would show 90 minutes of suspense about a guy stuck in a coffin. I must say they did an incredible job. It reminded me of the movie with Collin Farrel called "Phone Booth" - which was about a guy stuck in a phone booth with a sniper telling him what to do.

Pretty interesting movie. Very low budget. Also reminded me of 127 hours.

Rating: 6.5/10

Memorial Day

Oh it's memorial day.. and i'm sitting at home. Why? Cuz i just felt lazy! Originally woke up at 8:30am and was supposed to meet some ppl in the morning. It wasn't set in stone, and i wasn't obligated to go, so i just closed my eyes. 5 more minutes! 5 minutes ended up being 6 hours.

Finally woke up at 3pm. Welp.. there goes Memorial day fun. Now i'm just chillin at home watching movies and tv shows.

Yesterday i watched "Source Code" at the dollar theater. It's nice that the movie only cost $2.. but the place smells like old people.. (death). The movie was better than expected. It sorta has that Inception story plot. Def. worth the $2. Go watch it!

Drama Review: Sign

I've been watching "Sign" a Korean mini series drama based on CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) type of story. I'm almost done with it.. and i can't really recommend this drama. I could never relate to the characters, or feel much charisma. The story was okay, but compared to the US version of CSI - it's a cheesy copy.

Hmm.. what have i been doing this past week. Were you ever with your grandparents and heard them groan over how their knees or back ached when they walked. Well.. either i'm sore, or i'm just old. My knees felt like crap while playing basketball today. I can't move as fast i used to.

I also gained a few lbs, cuz i've been letting go lately. Eating late at night (In and Out, Taco Bell, Carl's Jr., Red Robin, etc.). I need to get back to eating right. Fighting!

I have been aggressively looking for a job now. I think i've rested long enough. Funny thing is, after i posted my resume on Monster - i got recruitment e-mails within a day.

What i've done this past year has been going mostly according to my timeline that i set for myself when i first moved to Cali. Let's hope 2011 keeps going well!

Got my Epson Rebate

2 months ago, i wrote a guide on getting a Nikon D3100 for $300. I sent in my rebate form on 3/19 with a hazy feeling in my gut thinking it might get rejected. However, after 8 weeks (just as it's stated in the fine print) i received my check for $400. Hopefully those of you that took advantage of the awesome deal have the same happy ending as I.

I am totally enjoying my camera btw, it takes some great photos. Also the fact that auto ISO isn't available in manual mode doesn't bother me as much because i now have an understanding of different lighting situations.
