I Stopped a Robbery!

I had a crazy night the other day. Friday night i ended up staying at work until 12am cuz of this and that .. well that's besides the point. After i was done with work, i was getting out of the office to go home when i saw a hispanic guy clipping our barb wires to get inside! OMFG. We made eye contact and both froze for about 5 seconds.. trying to figure out what just happened. I just caught a guy trying to break in.. and he just found out he got spotted. I started yelling at him.

"EY WTF you think your doing!"

Then in a blink of an eye he was gone. I was gonna chase him, but i would have had to go around the front gate and there would have been no chance to catch up to him. I called 911 for attempted burglary, and there was a chopper on top of me with flood lights within 1 minute. Cops showed up like 15 minutes later though.

Now.. what kind of a coincidence is this? I just happen to be staying late that day.. and it just so happens that when i decide to come out of the office, his trying to break in. Figure if i came out 15 minutes later, i woulda caught him with his pants down inside one of our trucks stealing something, in which two things could have happened.

1. i beat his ass or cut him with my utility knife.
2. i get shot or stabbed in return with maybe a screwdriver.

If i had left 10 minutes ealier, i would have had a suprise in the morning.

What are the chances? Ppl say things happen for the best that i didn't confront him since it's dangerous. Yet, it's frustrating to see a someone breaking in and stealing crap that's not his. He needs to get caught and be punished so he has a chance to learn from his mistake. Hopefully he wont' come back..

I ended up sleeping @ the office that day because i had to wait for the cops to come back and file a police report (which they never came back). They probably thought i was hallucinating cuz when they checked everything out, there was no evidence and i was the only witness. Bleh.. whatever.

While we are on the subject of thieves.. the whole immigrant issue is wack. There are several reasons for this.

1. My aunt is an illigal immigrant and has no papers right now so she can't even get a driver's license. That reason alone i wish there was a law that gives chances to outstanding residents here in CA to give them rights. It's her fault she didn't come here to the states the right way with papers, but still i feel sorry for her because she moved here to be with family.

2. Majority of illigal immigrants come here to work, get paid and maybe one day move back to Mexico. My Mexican friends say it's hard to live in Mexico because of the political monopoly and power. Basically, if your poor, your screwed since the government owns you.

3. Mexicans have too many damn kids. This is what's wrong with Mexicans.. they gotta learn how to use birth control. When your making like $12,000/year in California and have 10 kids.. you obviously have something wrong with you. There is NO WAY you can raise those kids properly or provide them with what they need. So what ends up happening?
First of all, they will steal.. they may join a gang.. their life in general will include poverty so their personalities will differ from normal ppl. Anger, aggressive patterns.. all lead to the wrong path of life.

Even if you come here to work, if things don't work out - people tend to get desperate and make bad judgments to survive. Bad judgments meaning doing bad things to make money, etc.

So the ones who can't find jobs after crossing the border, and the kids who have 10 brother/sister's will end up ruining this economy. Sure, there is more to it - like driving with no license, and if an accident happens they will run away or just can't pay for it. Yes, there are many other factors that are negative about illegal immigrants. But there are good factors as well - they take jobs that nobody else really wants.. or take the jobs at a cheaper rate so small businesses get more profit.

Bleh.. enough about that. What happens happens..
