Drama Review: Secret Garden
So i spent the past week watching all 20 episodes of this drama. And i must say it was enjoyable. Ha Ji Won and Hyun Bin create a good chemistry and believable characters.
The plot of the story is about a billionaire Hyun Bin who falls in Love with a stunt woman Ha Ji Won. Their love face lots of obstacles including, changing bodies, hate from Hyun Bin's mom, love triangle, etc. There are some slow parts that i fast forwarded, but overall the drama was solid and not dragged out.
I wish i had Hyun Bin's hair.. haha. Anyways, i recommend this to anyone that enjoys love story K-drama's. SPOILER! Its a happy ending :)
Lastly, i think this drama had one of the best OST's i have ever heard. It features song remakes by Bebe Mignon of One Man by Kim Jong Gook and another 4Men song. It also has a hit single by Baek Ji Young "That Woman".

Plans for the Upcoming Months..
Is it just me, or do most of you like to plan ahead? It's always nice having a goal and being able to have a purpose in waking up every day. For me, the past few months have been about getting healthy - and thankfully I've been doing well.
Next on the list will be a trip to Korea in April (It will be April for sure, just need to buy tickets) - and then looking for a 9-5 job when i get back state side.
Back when i was in NY, life was plain. Work, eat, and sleep. I had no motivation or a goal to strive for. Depression kicked in, and i was miserable. If you are feeling blue, here are some personal tips that have helped me in recent months.
1. Exercise - For the purpose of being healthy, feeling good about the way you look, and increasing the level of endorphins your body produces
2. Change of lifestyle - If you are not happy with your current life, it's time for a change. Change jobs, where you live, or even your car. Do what makes you happy. You only live once.
3. Take a vacation or socialize! Meet friends more often and be around others!

Success in Marriage
I heard an awesome advice today. In order to have a successful marriage, you need a pillar to keep two people together. Love alone will not be able to last forever. So what is the pillar? It can't be anything materialistic; specifically money. Cars, house, etc. are all bad. The good is things like religion, faith, hobbies, etc.
Makes sense doesn't it?

Quote of the Day: What do you focus on?
"You are like a lot of people. You'd rather focus on the bad than good."
I do this sometimes. I try not to.

Restaurant Review: Porto's
Porto's is a Cuban sandwich shop in Downey. They also have a large selection of bakery. Very modern atmosphere. They also have these things called potato balls, which has meat, potato, and a thin layer of fried batter. It's good.

Song of the Day: Far East Movement - Like a G6
Some of you may hate me for posting this. This song seems to be a hit or miss. Either you love it or hate it. I actually enjoyed the beat. There are tons of parody's on Youtube that you should check out.
Anyways, it's the first Asian American single that hit #1 on the Top 100 Billboards so it's quite the accomplishment. This song isn't new, but I only recently took the time to check out the music video and found it amusing that part of it was shot in K-Town LA. The first 30 seconds you see ppl drinking soju.. LOL.
For those of you that are wondering about the girl in red.. as i was, her name is Erica Ocampo.
The other girl in black is Lisa (Kim) Fleming.

New Toy: Canon Rebel XT
I've been searching eBay for the past week looking for the best possible deal on a DSLR. Long behold i was able to snatch a great deal for just $160. It's true that sometimes, you can find a nail in a haystack. The camera does have a slight problem with ERR 99 codes when doing shots in creative mode. It will need some servicing, but unfortunately - that would cost more than i paid for the camera. I will have to live with only using auto modes.
Eventually i do plan on upgrading to a T2I which has video capability and will need an image stabilizing lens. Nevertheless, this current camera takes some awesome pictures. With a large aperture (4.0 - 4.5) the blurry effects is awesome.
Those of you that have a DSLR and want that blurry background effect when taking portraits try setting the dial mode to AV (aperture priority mode) and use the lowest possible setting, which is generally 4.0 for entry level DSLR's. Zoom in or get as close to the subject as possible. Hopefully you can get some results similar to mine. Practice, practice and more practice.

Bad Gas Mileage? Check the Basics!
For the past 3 weeks i've been getting horrible gas mileage on my car. I thought it was because of my city commute, but something didn't really make sense. So, i went back to the basics and checked my tire pressure today and 2 of the tires were at 20 psi. Must be the cold weather. I've pumped them back up to 35psi so i should see some improvements.
If you are getting bad gas mileage, don't forget to regularly check your tire pressure. Also, it's dangerous driving with under inflated tires - and - they wear down faster.

The Perfect Buzz
How many bottles of soju does it take to get that perfect buzz?
Perfect? Yes.. not sober.. not drunk. You feel good and the endorphins kick in. For me it's about 2 bottles. Anymore than that, i get roudy and cocky. 2 bottles seems to be perfect.
Feeling so good right now. Thanks Pae for the company.

Run Pusha!
My sister recently posted this picture of her dog on her Facebook. I just had to share it with ya'll. Isn't she adorable? Running around in the snow so carefree..
What's Your Band's Name?
A friend sent me a neat little experiment you can do to randomly select a band name, album cover, and album title.
1. Go to wikipedia and hit random. The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2. Go to quotationspage.com and hit random. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3. Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days” Third picture, no matter what ...............it is, will be your album cover.
4. Use photoshop or similar (picnik.com is a free online photo editor) to put it all together.
5. Post it with this text in the "caption" and TAG the friends you want to join in.
Here was my result, which doesn't sound bad at all...
