They are back.. i'd give this song a 7/10. Not as good as their previous hits.

New Layout and History of Bjunkyard

Summer is here, and it's been about 1 year since bjunkyard's last layout. I was personally getting tired of the Hyolee/Luffy image and decided it was time for a change. The background image and color changed. The darker scheme should be easier on the eyes.

The overall width of the content increased by about 30 pixels. You may have also noticed that the top menu bar now includes some additional links and the color changed. I have added some personal stuff like my picasa, youtube, facebook, and twitter accounts (twitter/facebook are on the side menu). If you need to get in touch, you know how to find me.

The "about me" section is complete. You can check it out here. It features a lengthy history of how this site started and became it's current form.

Bjunkyard BBQ 2011

Hi everyone. Not sure how many old skool members are still visiting, but i thought i'd just throw this out there. How many of you would be interested in attending a bjunkyard BBQ hosted by yours truly if it "were" to happen?

Location will be between two places.

• Norcal, possibly @ the park we always had it (Central Park, or Ortega Park)
• Socal, Cerritos Park East

Time will be either late July or August.

Food will be burgers, chips, and soda provided by me.

It'll be nice seeing everyone again. This is sorta like a reunion now that i think about it. This is purely a spontaneous idea i'm putting out there, so the likelihood that it'll actually happen really depends on the responses i get.

Feeling bummed out..

Anybody else having a slight depressive mood swing recently? Not sure exactly what the reason is, but i'm feeling bummed out. It's odd too, considering it's summer and the sun is shining here in CA.

Restaurant Review: Lazy Dog Cafe

I went to the one located on Cerritos Mall. The atmosphere is basically BJ's. There isn't a big distinction other than their restrooms. The menu's look very similar, and their happy hour is about the same. However, even if their menus are alike, Lazy Dog Cafe (for me at least) has the better food.

The service was good, and everyone was very kind. In terms of price, you may want to stay away from their high ends plates. NY Steak was $25. If you go during happy hour, you get $2 off all appetizers and $5 mini pizza's. 16oz beer's are also $4.

It's a cool little place to hang out with friends, or even a night cap with your gf/bf.

HDD and SSD.. when did this happen?

It's been a very long time since i've done research on computer parts. Largely because i've had a notebook for the past 3 years. The last time i've actually built a computer was in 2004.

Maybe it shouldn't come as a suprise when i didn't know what SSD meant.

HDD = Hard Disk Drive. This looks like a CD inside a CD Player
SSD = Solid State Drive. This looks like a bunch of flash drives together

SSD is great because it doesn't have any moving parts, so it's able to find/process information faster than HDD. It's also quiet, because it doesn't spin like an HDD. Lastly, it uses less battery life.

The only shortcoming is storage space is limited. But seeing as how flash drives are getting bigger, so will the SSD's.

Anyways, maybe i was the last one to find out about SSD's, but this really makes me want to build a desktop.

Smile is infectious

You know when you feel like shit.. and everything around you feels like shit.  You transform into this devious beast that is angry at everything.  You give dirty looks and stare down anybody that dares look at you. 

I'm sure most of us had one of those days.  I was having one of those days when a random stranger looked at me and smiled with the most sincere look on her face.  I could not help but to smile back and realized how silly I was acting.

Next time you are in this situation try smiling its infectious. 

Drama Review: Midas

One of the hottest rated girls in Korea right now is Lee Min Jung. She came out in Boys over Flowers, and i didn't get a very good impression of her. After watching Midas, i understand what all the hype is about. She currently has the girly, cutesy, type of image that many top stars have; such as Kim Tae Hee and Song Hye Gyo during their earlier careers. It doesn't hurt that she is also very attractive.

The plot of the drama is about "money". The drama focuses mostly on the bad side of money such as greed and corruption. The story of a brilliant man unfolds as he tries to reach his dream of becoming filthy rich by selling his soul (not literally) to a wealthy family.

I think the main character was poorly selected. I didn't like his acting, and i think a better fit would have been Lee Byung Hyun. The story unfolds in 21 episodes which was a bit long. I did enjoy all the betrayals and revenge plots.

Overall, it was a decent drama. Could have been written much better IMO. Worth the watch? Yes. Mostly if you enjoy revenge plots. Honestly, i fast forwarded through most of the dialogue, so keep your fingers on that FF button. Lee Min Jung doesn't come out that often, so don't expect to see much of her.

New mobile version

I was actually really anticipating this feature from blogger. I know many news feed sites have this implemented, where the mobile version of the site is clean cut and straight to the point. Some sites do it better than others, and blogger's version could use a few improvements and customize options.

On a side note, i happen to read a random blog today and found it amusing. It's a girls blog. Her post complained about perverts and how she's hates them. She also pointed out that she is sick of "perverts" hitting on her.

What's the punch line? Well.. she dresses like a slut. Irony huh?

Anybody use Twitter? I wanna know what all the craze is about. So i signed up today. I'm not sure i want to know whenever someone goes to the bathroom, but my curiosity got the best of me.

The crappy part is that all of my usual SN's were taken.. sigh.

Movie Review: Limitless

I'm sure many people have wondered what life would be like if they could use 100% of their brain capacity. Now, someone was genius enough to make it into a movie. The story is about a douchebag that gets introduced to a pill that let's him use all of his brain.

Man.. the possibilities.. if i was able to.. lol. keep dreaming.

There was one one moment in the movie where it becomes a little dull. The rest was fast paced and exciting. There isn't anything worthy to be watched on the big screen. This is a perfect movie to watch at home. But, def. a must watch.

Rating: 9/10

I want a new computer!

I just got Assassin's Creed.. and it runs horrible on my computer. My laptop is a 2.2 dual core with 2gig ram and 256mb GeForce 8600 which i bought sometime in 2007 i believe. If i remember correctly, i generally changed computers every 4 years - which would mean i'm up for a renew.

Hmm.. what to get.. I'm getting the urge to build my own computer again. Or.. just get another notebook..
